* Although we make every effort to inform students of changes in advance, the amount, time, and manner of payment of tuition, fees, or other charges may be changed at any time without notice. Average tuition increase per academic year 3-5%.

** A first year fee in the amount of $1,500 is charged in the first semester of the program and covers the cost of the core course packs, materials relating to the first year including swag, a financial calculator, a lock for your locker and events during pre-term and your first year. The fee is charged to all students, but only in the first semester.


Additional Expenses

Discretionary lifestyle choices cannot be subsidized by federal OR private education loans. Additional expenses, listed below, can be used to increase the financial aid budget on a case-by-case basis after discussion with the Financial Aid Office.

  • Computer (one-time only)
  • International Course Trips for credit

Please note that per federal regulations, eligibility for Federal student aid is based on a single student budget.


Cornell University Bursar Procedures

Most University charges and credits are processed through the University Bursar system. Tuition is billed on a semester basis:

  • Summer tuition bills will be available mid-May and due June 7.
  • Fall tuition bills will be available mid-July and due by August 7.
  • Spring tuition bills will be available mid-January and due February 7.

The tuition bill for your first term must be paid to register. Your admissions deposit will be credited against your first semester tuition. Financial aid is disbursed at the beginning of each term and credit to your student bursar account. If any of these funds result in a credit balance, the credit will be refunded to you. All student should sign up for direct deposit to ensure timely receipt of any refunds issued. Refunds are typically issued the second week of classes.
