Biography
Fred Asante’s research interests lie at the intersection of banking, debt markets, and the real effects of financial regulation, with a particular emphasis on how regulatory and financial environments influence economic outcomes in both formal and informal sectors. His work aims to uncover how policy interventions shape decision-making among financial institutions and market participants, especially in developing economies.
Prior to joining the Johnson Ph.D. program in 2021, Fred held various roles at Bank of America within corporate finance and commercial banking, where he provided financial solutions to middle-market companies. He holds a BBA in Accounting from Howard University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
