Biography

Lorraine Yuan is currently a Ph.D. student in Operations, Technology & Information Management. Her research interests lie in data-driven decision-making, with a focus on privacy issues in operations management topics. Her current research is on differential privacy adaptions for data-driven inventory management to improve the company's profitability and customer service levels while protecting customers' privacy. Prior to joining the PhD program in 2020, Lorraine obtained a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics from Renmin University of China. She also holds a M.Eng. in Operations Research from Cornell Tech.
